Wir wissen aus der #Forschung, dass faschistische Strukturen genau so entstehen: Ein Anführer entwickelt sie - und seine Gefolgsleute sehen völlig egoistisch mehr ihre Karrierechancen als menschlichen Anstand oder Werte. Genau deshalb ist es so wichtig, dass Rechtsextremisten auf keinen Fall in Machtpositionen bzw. Führungsstukturen unserer Bundesrepublik gelangen. Sollte dies der Fall sein, entsteht ein Domino-Effekt und es werden Haltung und Werten schneller kaputt gehen als wir „Brandmauer“ sagen können.".

Harvey Weinstein’s rape retrial has ended in a mistrial. A judge declared it Friday after the jury deadlocked. The former Hollywood mogul has been convicted of other sex crimes on two U.S. coasts and remains behind bars. But the mistrial leaves the New York rape charge in limbo after three trials. A majority-male Manhattan jury weighed whether the former movie mogul raped a woman in a New York hotel in 2013. Defense lawyers argue that the encounter was consensual.
I heard an ex army member, a woman who got sexually assaulted there, talk about this analogy and it stays with me:
Drink driving used to be treated as a harmless "boys will be boys" thing and there were jokes that you wouldn't be promoted to x rank if you didn't have y number of DUI violations.
Until the army stamped down on it and made it policy to give people negative consequences for drunk driving. They were like "it's not funny, we're taking it seriously, you're not gonna get promoted if you recklessly endanger lives that way." And rightly so.
Then army towns became the places with the lowest statistics of DUIs in the US.
So, we know it's possible.
Any organisation, not just the us army, can stamp out harmful behaviour if they actually care to do so.
They could stop rape and assault and harrassment.
They just don't care.

Quoting Haaretz's editor on #Netanyahu's chief of staff Tzachi Braverman, who was appointed as Israel's next ambassador to London:
[...] If Israel doesn't cancel the appointment, Britain should refuse to accept his credentials.
Braverman is facing sexual assault allegations serious enough that police offered the accuser witness protection typically reserved for organized crime cases, on top of obstruction charges and a suspected leak of a classified security investigation.
#Haaretz editor says the government may be pushing the appointment precisely to remove him from #Israel and shield him from scrutiny.
