TIL: in 🇨🇦 from post-WWII until the early 1980s, *three hundred thousand* unwed mothers were forcibly separated from their babies.

The United Church of Canada and the Archdiocese of Vancouver are the only Canadian institutions involved in the forced adoptions who have issued formal apologies. That needs to change, yesterday.
