#IKVM 8.11 will be great.
AES, CBC and GCM with hardware acceleration.
#X86 already done, and near #Hotspot performance.

#Arm64 on its way. Zulu8 Hotspot #JRE doesn’t have HW intrinsics for #M1 CPUs, so IKVM on #DotNet 8 might even surpass Hotspot AES.

#IKVM used to be limited to a pure Java/CPU constrained AES implementation (at roughly 300 Mbit throughput).
That’s going to change with an effort to get HW acceleration for AES, GHash and CBC into IKVM.

Espechally since I've yet to see #OpenBMC-powered #Servers or #Workstations [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenBMC ] on the market since manfacturers are too busy pushing their own #BMC-based #managment solutions and sell #DLC's aka. #Licenses to nickel and dime customers for already implemented and installed features like a proper #iKVM [at least #Dell does so with their #iDRAC9] ....

And I think that a #minimalist #embedded / #desktop & #server #Linux has a lot of merits.

Because it can be flexible and useful even if a System does have plenty of resources to handle something bulkier than OS/1337.

And lets face it: Having some self-booting #minimal Linux that starts a #SSH server and allows to act as #RescueSystem or do basic #Setup if not #Backup & #Restore would come in handy regardless if one has a #BMC with #LOM & #iKVM or not.

Il y a des utilisateurs de l’IKVM HTML5 fourni avec l’ipmi des serveurs Supermicro (entre autres) ?
J’en peux plus de leur gestion calamiteuse du clavier et je cherche une solution (autre que changer de marque de serveur).
Samedi soir il m’a fallu 20 minutes pour trouver le caractère ":" à l’aide de 3 claviers physiques et 2 claviers virtuels -> plus jamais ça !
