Really enjoying The Fieldβs new album, which is pretty unexpected given he basically just mined one vein for years and years. But here he has taken his very loopy Kompakt ambient techno kind of stuff and made it more rhythmically interesting while maintaining the very hypnotic blissed out feel. (A positive way of saying itβs very repetitive!)
Like this track is in 7/8 and almost a hip-hop feel to the beat, very flowing and natural. I love it!

The non-4/4 reminds me of Ukkonen, about the only other artist I have encountered who combines this with, well, nice sounding dance music elements.
