My #endocrinologist still can't make up their mind whether I have #diabetes type 1 or type 2 because #COVID19 gave me diabetes. They switched me from #insulin to #metformin and it's working pretty well. They plan to add some #glp1 agonist at some point down the road. Not sure about that though. I know that both insulin and #Semaglutid are hormons that are native to the body. But I just feel (maybe irrational) apprehension towards drugs like #ozempic. Any fellow #diabetic got some experiences to share?

I contacted my #endocrinologist about potentially using #fiasp in my #Tandem #tslim #insulinpump to help mitigate the issues I have balancing bolus response times & unpredictable #gastroparesis occurrence & duration. She’s not outright opposed which is nice, but she mentioned a different pump that is supposed to approximate how a pancreas works: #BetaBionics. I hadn’t heard of it. Does anyone have experience with this pump?

It looks like I can find a private endocrinologist to proceed with the #HRT for the #transition in #Greece, otherwise I'll get lost for months in the public system between endocrinologists and psychiatrists. @writeblankspace As someone or other wrote, love is a drug. It may even be several drugs, I'm no #endocrinologist so I don't know for certain. As for why is love, that's nature's way of ensuring that the species endures.

I kept telling my overweight friends and family that it's not a matter of JUST will power, activity and food intake, sometimes there might be other underlying issues, so it's always a good idea to go see an #endocrinologist for a qualified opinion.

In the end, I finally took my own advice. Maybe it's more than just laziness and gluttony?

Well, my blood results came out. They're looking too good. My issue might ACTUALLY be just laziness and gluttony.

Just received notice that my trusted #endocrinologist of 7 years is leaving the @inovahealth practice effective 1/12/24 😩

Great bedside manner, very understanding and cerebral, not pushy and flexible on scheduling visits. I’m going to miss that guy.

Any #NoVa #T1D recommendations for a new endo? I basically just need a chill one that will let me manage myself and come to them when I need help & Rx.
