“Io sono entrato in magistratura nel 1976, per prima indagine come giudice istruttore ho seguito quella sulle Brigate rosse nel Veneto. Quando nei covi delle Brigate rosse trovavano le liste dei magistrati da ammazzare, io ero sempre il primo. Perché lo dico? Perché vi pare possibile che un magistrato che è entrato subito rischiando la vita e un magistrato con la mia esperienza, con il mio, diciamo pure, vissuto, possa avere in mente di sottoporre la magistratura giudicante e requirente al potere esecutivo?”. Lo ha detto il ministro della Giustizia Carlo Nordio in un video registrato inviato al congresso di Magistratura democratica in corso a Roma da oggi a domenica. Nell’indagine sui terroristi, ha detto Nordio rivolgendosi alle toghe progressiste, “ho lavorato con grande amicizia, stima e proficuità assieme a uno dei vostri rappresentanti più autorevoli, Giancarlo Caselli. A lui vanno i miei ringraziamenti e la mia stima incondizionata per quanto riguarda la sua devozione allo Stato, anche se un abisso divide o quantomeno un mezzo abisso divide oggi le nostre idee”.

I entered the magistracy in 1976, and was first investigated as an investigating judge, following the one concerning the Red Brigades in Veneto. Because do you think it’s possible that a judge who immediately risked his life and a judge with my experience, with my, let’s say, lived experience, could have in mind to subject the judicial and prosecutorial magistracy to executive power? He said Justice Minister Carlo Nordio in a video recorded and sent to the Democratic Magistracy Congress currently taking place in Rome from today to Sunday. In the investigation of the terrorists, Nordio said, addressing the progressive judges, “I worked with great friendship, esteem, and mutual benefit alongside one of your most authoritative representatives, Giancarlo Caselli. He receives my thanks and my unconditional esteem for his devotion to the State, although an abyss, or at least a half-abyss, divides or at least halves our ideas.”
