Next try.

Btw., das Video ist ganz nett zum Thema lokale Nutzung (Search Without Being Searched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6hZ7gkpSVU ; Guide: https://youtux.org/SearXNG:-Your-Gateway-to-Digital-Freedom.html), aber erstmal reicht eine von https://searx.space

Am I to understand from this that SearXNG is in the process of becoming AI poisoned?

The last issue hasn't been active since 2023 but the 1st one has been active recently and the middle one last summer.

There are plenty of amazing solutions for using large language models (LLMs) to help with searching. For sake of compressing this request, I'll point out four kinds of them that I want in a modern ...

@tecnoysoft Yo ahora uso principalmente #SearX y como buscador secundario #Ecosia para afinar mas las busquedas si lo necesito.
Anyone still manages to use searx? I get error messages from most engines, and the few that do return results return low quality ones that aren't even in the specified language. I started using searx about three years ago and at first it worked well. Then I had to either change my engine settings or switch instances increesingly often. The instance in this example is search.disroot.org, which seemed to work for me a small while ago, then worked inconsistantly, then not at all. I've never ran my own instance, I don't think I'm equipped for that at tbe moment, but would that solve the issue? Or are there other public instances not facing these problems? Or —I hope not— did these search engines companies start garding themselves against meta search engines using their results, to force us to use them directly?

Searx is a metasearch engine, aggregating the results of other search engines while not storing information about its users.

(And withdraw from there again, given the apparent weirdness of some of the actors behind the company. So probably back to Ecosia for search things for now, maybe waiting for @adam to come up with a #searx instance...🙈😊)

Undead SearXNG
Years ago, I got Searx, the predecessor to SearXNG, up and running on Undead Network. It worked reasonably well. SearXNG https://github.com/searxng/searxng is a meta search engine that you run yourself. It searches the well-known search engines and transfers the results. You can configure very precisely which search engines are queried. If I understand correctly, the advantage of SearXNG is that search queries are distributed across the various instances, making it very difficult to create a profile of the individual instances. If it works that way, it would be awesome. Another step towards a decentralized internet. It's been running quite stable for a few days now. I just haven't figured out how to customize the look yet ;) https://search.undeadnetwork.de
