Kdenlive 26.04 RC ready for testing
So slowly I'm editing the 3D Movie Maker video: I have done the initial "base edit" of the introduction and now going through and adding the visuals to the "demonstration" section. I've been trying to keep texting to a minimal and use as much of the recordings as possible to improve the speed of editing the video (which has been a common objective for the last 3 retrospectives), but even then progress is slower then I hoped for.
Considering I've only done 3.5 minutes (the introdcution is in a different sequence) and the final video is probably 14 - I think me aiming to finish and release the video by Wednesday was optimistic at best (I needed to start editing a few weeks earlier then I did).
Realistically at the current amount of time I'm allocating it should be done in 2 weeks - which is gonna be SUPER exciting!
Kdenlive 26.04 Release Candidate is ready for testing. Help us make this a solid release. Grab it, give it a spin and let u know if you encounter any issues.
I like how I went into this project going "Yeah! This is gonna be a nice short video, no longer then 8 minutes in total,", and the voice over (now edited) is nearly 11 minutes EXCLUDING the intro and conclusion segments!
I have appeared to under-estimated the scope of this project!
Feel an anomaly. Kdenlive on fedora as rpm or flatpak package are newer than on flathub.
Stale version on flathub usually because packager are 3rd party or from community. But this kdenlive flatpak on packager flathub has verified to be the owner of kdenlive.

Sorry for the short middle missing section - I was bummed this part didn't record! But I wanted to post one with different audio so not all of them have the same track :p Though the audio track is still at an early stage
For the audio, I originally came up with this tune while tinkering around on the keyboard. I later composed it in LMMS. The version here is that early composition where I noted it down - this is from a while back, and I'd compose it differently now. It's more like an audio sketch than an audio track.
I also tried playing it on guitar a few days ago for the first time! That gave me even more ideas for how I'd add to the LMMS composition. Ah, when I have time! Or maybe I'll also try recording the guitar version at some point.
I want to do all the things!

PSA: Kdenlive is awesome!
