I've just listened to a video blog from @heiseonline on alternative #office applications. Quite interesting, though not news for me personally.
While the everybody talks (for good reason) about compatibility with #MsOffice, I'm always missing the equally impotant aspect of compatibility with #ODF (as native with #LibreOffice and others). Especially as it's the mandated standard format for collaboration within several jurisdictions.

Nyní je v #LibreOffice i v běžných vydáních k dispozici volba pseudo jazyka QTZ KeyID, který zapne pro překladatele ID stringů uživatelského rozhraní a nápovědy v aplikaci. Doposud toto bylo možné jen v alfa/beta sestaveních.

Any other choice is a choice of dependence on a single vendor Digital sovereignty begins with the document format. Everything else – server location, hosting jurisdiction, procurement clauses – is downstream of this single decision. If the format is standard and open, the user controls the document. If the format is proprietary the vendor controls it, even when the file sits on the user’s own hard drive.
