#FotoVorschlag: Sakrale Bauten // Sacred buildings

// Gaaaah, I could share so many more buildings today! 🙈 But one more tiny #church or #chapel is a must: the fascinating #WattsCemeteryChapel in the village of Compton, #Surrey. Resident artist Mary Fraser-Tytler went wild with #ModernStyle, #CelticRevival, and several other styles in 1896. Many contemporaries were not amused, but if you're ever in the vicinity, pay a visit and be flabbergasted (or 𝘨𝘰𝘥smacked?). 😉 Also: #Doorsday!

Harmony in Heritage: The Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune Catholic Parish of Strasbourg”

In the heart of Strasbourg, the Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune Catholic Church stands as a beacon of architectural beauty and historical significance. This late 19th-century church, dedicated to Saint Peter, is a masterpiece of Romanesque Revival architecture, built in rose sandstone and crowned with a heavy, imposing dome. The interior is spacious, adorned with altars, mosaics, and a [...]
