Serious cooks have ways of keeping their spices organized. I had a spice rack built on my pantry door, and they're alphabetized top to bottom. The jars have easy to read labels with a world map on the cap that highlights the area where the spice is most prevalently used. When I immersed myself in international cooking a few decades ago, I felt this was the best way to keep my spices straight.

If you’ve got sourdough starter, I’ve got the pizza dough recipe for you.
I was using a different one before this and finally tried the one from the site where I make my ciabatta, sourdough boule, and focaccia recipes from — and I wish I had tried Alexandra’s recipe sooner. It’s solid. I love it.

Iceberg Alley, which stretches from the Arctic to the southeast coast of the island of Newfoundland, is the ideal location for iceberg viewing - even from your kitchen window while cooking the local favorite 'Jiggs supper.' You'll never run out of icebergs to see if you live in Canada's Iceberg Alley. And when the sea
This is one of the lesser visited waterfalls in Iceland, Fosstorfufoss. Few visitors make the hike up the steep steps to the top of Skogafoss and continue along the Fimmvörðuháls trail. While not as huge and impressive as Skogafoss, I think the tight shots of this falls are quite beautiful.

An interesting fact about this #cascade is that it sits at the bottom of a #river where an ammunition and gun factory used to be. Because of that, the entire river is contaminated with lead and it is recommended that you don’t stay on the surrounding soil for too long. That being said, every summer, hundreds of people ignore the warning and swim in the river.

I've lost count of the number of times I've trudged up the hills, sat waiting in the cold breeze and rain, and seen almost nothing.
Today was different. The golden eagle had read my mind, seen what I had imagined might happen, and kindly followed the script.
I spotted it perched on a ridge in the distance, and it took flight, heading towards me, then drifting by, below, lit up by the winter sunshine.
Magic. 😎
