I'm so glad we picked Hvalfjörður over Reykjavik as the place to spend the last four nights of our last Iceland road trip last year (the longest one to date!). I still dream about the sceneries. Favourite pastime while there? Finding out online where the big freight ships we saw on the fjord came from and where they were headed. It was surprisingly easy, and fun. 😄

The weather was not at its best, cool and drizzly, so we didn't stop to admire this unusual cascade. As we drove past, I wished we had.
When we saw the sheep around the base of the drops, we realised it was private land, so we didn't turn back.
