Iceland looks small on most maps (due to the way maps are presented) but it's actually slightly bigger than Ireland.
Driving north to south takes around 5 hours in summer. Flying takes about 40 minutes from Ayureki to Reykjavik (but it's cheaper to fly via the UK)
