The Giants lost to the #Tigers 1-3 today because the Giants couldn't score more runs when the opportunities arose. 🤷

They face the Tigers again tomorrow.

The Giants are still playing like the Giants . . . 🤷‍♂️

Birdsong gets pulled from the game after giving up a walk & a single in the bottom of the 5th with the #Tigers leading 0-1.

Miller comes in & walks the 1st batter to load the bases & then gives up a single that scores 2. 🤦‍♂️

#Tigers lead 0-3 going into the top of the 6th.

Looks like I can skip the rest of the game & do the errands that I was putting off to watch it. 🤷‍♂️

Chapman & Lee single in the top of the 6th with only 1 out.

Another scoring threat. So, good or bad, what the Giants do now will signal the likely outcome for the rest of the game.

Update: Flores gets a single that scores 1 but then Adames hits into a DP to end the inning. 🤦‍♂️

Tigers still lead 1-3.

I'm going to to run some errands & do some chores. Will check on the score after the game is over to see if that was the "right' thing to do or not. 🤷‍♂️

The Giants' inability to score just hurt them in the bottom of the 4th when Birdsong gave up 3 singles to score 1.

The Giants start today's game with the #Tigers in typical Giants fashion . . .

with runners on 1st & 2nd & 1 out, Flores hits a grounder (fortunately) to the right side to avoid the DP & advance the runners to 2nd & 3rd . . .

and then Adames strikes out stranding the runners in scoring position. 🤦‍♂️

But the failure to score hasn't hurt the Giants "yet" because Birdsong in his 2nd start is doing a good job "so far" giving up NO hits, 1BB & getting 4 Ks on 49 pitches (30 strikes) thru the the 3rd.

The score currently is tied 0-0 going into the bottom of the 4th.
