"'The farmworker movement is a leaderful movement, and women have always been part of that leadership,' Ramirez said. But their work has often been made invisible, sometimes by the very men who stood beside them in building worker power for Latinx people in the United States."

Found this photo of me as a kid... I had WAY more fashion sense and swag then! These days, I save all that flash and color for my stickers and art!

Did you have a favorite childhood outfit or "look" that you wish you could pull off today?

"In a sports world where it is not uncommon for American athletes to compete for other countries, the intense focus on Ms. Gu reflects a view of Americanness that seems to offer little space for those who might have natural affinities for cultures or countries outside of the United States — especially when that country happens to be a geopolitical competitor like China."

San Francisco’s Chinatown Celebrated Eileen Gu. Others Are More Conflicted.

Conservatives have rebuked Ms. Gu, who was born in the United States but won Olympic medals for China. The reaction has sparked conversations among Chinese Americans about identity and straddling two worlds.

"Good. Good. Do it. Give KPop Demon Hunters the Oscar. Give HUNTR/X their golden moment. HUNTR/X is the megastar K-pop girl group that the movie is about. It has three members: Rumi, Zoey, and Mira. They’re global K-pop idols. They also hunt demons."

‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Is a Cultural Phenomenon Worthy of an Oscar

HUNTR/X and Co. are the obvious choice for Best Animated Feature. Don’t overthink it.

One of my oldest friends works at #Pixar and I have been lucky to visit! Seeing the inner workings of such a legendary creative space is so inspiring. It is a reminder of how community fuels every artist.

What place has sparked your creativity?

Barbara just saying what lots of people say to any Asian person they know.

You wouldn’t believe how many ‘you remind me of this one Asian woman I had an affair with in 1988 she was really beautiful’ messages I get here

Millbrae is the center of recent mainland Chinese migration to the Bay Area. It has a big lunar new year event today. Streets are PACKED

People dressed up in traditional garb.

Nice to see a plurality of different new year celebrations. A lot of overlaps but some differences.

For example, most Chinese people eat sweet tangyuan for the 15th day of the lunar new year but the local SF Toishanese folks do it savory.

The SAVE America Act would screw the #AAPI community.

Per APIAVote.org:

"20 percent of AAPIs don’t have a birth certificate on hand, 14 percent of AAPIs don’t have a passport, and only 8 percent have naturalization papers readily available."

Also, "AAPI adult citizens are also roughly two-thirds foreign-born, meaning issues naturalized citizens face would be disproportionately higher for AAPIs than for other communities."

TL;dr: a lot of AAPIs wouldn't be able to vote.
