Beautiful Saturday Bike Ride

We did a leisurely road bike ride this morning on a beautiful Monterey Bay Saturday.

The photo on the left is from the esplanade at Capitola CA beach looking northwest across the rebuilt Capitola Pier toward Pleasure Point beyond. Part of the Capitola Village is on the right.

The photo on the right is from New Brighton State Beach around 2 miles to the south looking northwest toward Capitola and Pleasure Point.

Set an alarm and got up early to go out for a ride, enjoying one of the last warm nice days in Boston this year. And I was rewarded with this beautiful vibrant red maple along Neponset river in the morning glow! That almost made the suffering climbing up Blue Hill TWICE less sufferable...

"Hallo mein Schatz. Die üben."

"Und sind die ausgerissen?"

"Hehe, ne, mein Schatz."

"Fahren die ganz hinten?"

"So mehr in der Mitte."

"Und warum reden die so viel? Das ist doch voll anstrengend beim Düsen."

Die Kleine hat mich eben auf dem Smarttrainer im Dachboden beim Gucken von Radvideo-Content erwischt. Der Fragenhagel war etwas überraschend. Sollte mit den Kids wohl nicht so viel Radzeug gucken :o)
