About 2 years ago I noted my #bicycle inner tubes were wholly holey. Didn't fix the damn thing last summer either because there's been road repair work and like and everything has been bloody annoying.
Okay, now the inner tubes are replaced! (Was very anxious when buying the replacements. People are saying clothing size numbers make no goddamn sense, but I encourage people to look at the bicycle tyre/inner tube sizes, I *guarantee* you get a fucking migraine.)
I was exhausted, everything is squeaky as hell, and the chain fell off when I tried going around the block, so I said fuck it, let's fix the rest of this shit tomorrow instead. But the point is, I made very significant progress!!!

After two days off it felt good to be back on the road. We even rode through #Domburg where more than 50 years ago, as a teenager, I had been #camping quite often with my friends. Sweet memories.

Our collective faith in each others' creativity cannot be cultivated alone. Last weekend in-between apartment-hunting, I bicycled from Boston to Providence, imagining the journey taken by Roger Williams in the winter of 1636.
And I thought of the indigenous peoples who sheltered & protected him.
Williams was banished for advocating for indigenous land rights & religious freedom. His Wampanoag & Narragansett hosts sheltered him & helped him establish a city where rights were written into the code. We need more of that hospitality, courage, and creativity.
