Restrap Switch Rack is easy to set up and it doesn't mind my minimal clearance. I attached on one side tent poles, because I refuse yet another tent just because it is going to have shorter poles. On the other I put my air pump.

The dry bag is... Unfortunate. I do not have any dedicated bag. Because they are expensive and I still borrow handlebar bag. Using regular drybag would not have been such a bad idea if it were smaller and more rigid. It works in kayak (and it was bought years ago for kayaking), not necessarily for the bike. But I didn't have to buy them and that means more money for cat's broken paw treatment.

Yes, I could have switched to panniers (though I don't have any), but I don't like them.

In the third picture please adore Meli who escaped two plasters. It took her less than hour in transport box in the car to get rid of it. I was asked by the vet clinic on the phone if I was really sure she did free herself...

Yesterday, on my way to Montbard on a TER train. All TGVs were full due to my last-minute travel.

My new precious #Brompton never gets far from me due to the multiple station spots.

Beautiful stormy sky to finish my journey close to #Cezy.

Inside Chicagoans Who Bike: Real Stories from the City

I had a one-bicycle accident on Tuesday. My own fault: on a shopping trip I drifted into a hidden drainage channel. Careless, but sometimes people are! Today I reported it to city hall. This particular channel is deep (40cm), so instead of flopping, a bike is held upright and pitches the rider over the bars at speed (for 8 stitches in my case). Jurisdiction over weeds that cover the hazard to form a booby trap is apparently divided between the city and a local shopping mall. 😠

Triplets of Belleville

UMN Duck Pond, Sunday, July 12 at 08:00 PM MDT

Bike Burque on Instagram: "Have you seen Triplets of Belleville? Have you seen it in a theater?? I coordinated with Albuquerque's longest running movie theatre for a special nighttime showing, just for us lovelies (and your friends). Optional bike ride beforehand, but it's a night ride in the middle of July, so you know you want to go. Details to be announced Tickets are $9, and you will be able to purchase concessions on site. It's summertime, so let's have some fun while supporting our local community businesses."

Been saving this one for a while, Scott US/CA ski team, had to work out from under my pile of bikes. Marketplace find last year $40, more importantly a 20” frame. Been saving parts for it, EDCO BB, titanium stem, lighter cranks and wheels. All rounder and short #bikepacking trips bike, parts ordered #CUES 1x9 stay tuned #biketooter

I only fell off the bike a little bit-- no wait, actually, I didn't fall off the bike at all. The bike and I fell over together in a slow-motion topple. Neither of us is significantly damaged! The bike was between me and the ground, so I don't even think it got scratched. And I have just a few bruises, which tbh is fairly miraculous because I fell on rocks.

Anyway, we're fine. Sure did make the rest of the ride a little extra challenging though! Got a solid 4.5 miles in. Three of the folks in the group have birthdays this weekend, so we had grilled sausages and lots of snacks and cake to celebrate :)
