the standard get bagels and go to church and visit with bagels routine. OH, the Garmin was so low .... I rode w/o and did the "hold power down for 30 seconds so it will actually wake up" thing.
Yesterday I took the '68 Racer (one speed Schwinn) to NoKings. A person or two thought I would be more "decked out."
Person or two, I'm a little vulnerable on my bike. IF that Trumpist who was there (with volunteers around him lest he and child and dog be harrassed) sees me in his car, he might ocnsider it his moral obligation to make One Fewer Communist in the world. (We're all communists, I"ve heard he says. Welp, I'm no profiteering capitalist pig and I'm proud of that.) (But last march, a bus driver I don't k now from Adam said he usually drove by me on White. I was on different bike. Different helmet. Different clothes. But I do NOT mind bus driver surveillance. That's like Guardian Angel Surveillance.)

I woke up today in a company of friends sleeping under the stars, with a strong feeling that things are good.

My winter gear let me stay warm at night with temperature falling to almost 0, I managed to bring enough food, water, spare clothing to feel comfortable, one charge was enough to make it both ways; I was also grateful that the leadership race of our progressive party finished with a good outcome. Good times.
