While yesterday #Rome was wrapped in rain and grey skies, our hikers trusted our meteorological reading – and were rewarded just over an hour away in #Abruzzo. Deep, fresh #snow greeted us, and as we snowshoed above 1800 m, the clouds parted, the sun appeared, and the landscape transformed into pure winter magic.
Knowing where and when to go really makes all the difference. We finished the day perfectly with local, authentic food in a nearby #mountain spot – delicious and well earned.
