Why is this conga line of grifters, irrelevant degenerates and public failures so keen for a Royal Commission?

The obvious question is: ‘What’s in it for them?’

Royal commissions are justice delayed.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

In an amazing turn of events, American elections spontaneously got more secure and Democrats simply forgot how to rig them in 2024 (according to Republicans): https://apnews.com/article/voting-election-security-republicans-trump-ap-poll-6171a25bd64dbb47505b8c907ddcb037

Republicans more confident in 2024 election accuracy after Trump win: AP-NORC poll

A new poll finds that Republican voters are more confident in the accuracy of U.S. elections now that Donald Trump has won. About 6 in 10 Republicans said they trust the 2024 vote count. That's a leap from only 2 in 10 who said in October they believed the count would be accurate. That low share followed years of Trump sowing doubt among his supporters over the accuracy of U.S. elections. He did so to explain away his 2020 loss. The poll found a slight dip in Democratic confidence in the vote count. But no top Democrat has encouraged voters to distrust elections as Trump did after the 2020 election.

Americans are tuning out of political news, AP-NORC poll finds

A lot of Americans, after an intense presidential election campaign, are looking for a break in political news. That's evident in cable television news ratings and a poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. The poll found nearly two-thirds of Americans saying they've found the need recently to cut down on their consumption of political and government news. That's particularly true among Democrats following President-elect Donald Trump's victory, although a significant number of Republicans and independents feel the same way. Cable networks MSNBC and CNN are really seeing a slump. That's also happened in years past for networks that particularly appeal to supporters of one candidate.

Favorable views of Kamala Harris have risen this summer heading into the DNC, AP-NORC poll shows

Vice President Kamala Harris is entering the Democratic National Convention with increased excitement from Democrats and a steady rise in her favorability ratings among Americans as a whole. A new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows 48% of U.S. adults now have a very or somewhat favorable view of Harris. That is up from 39% at the beginning of the summer, before President Joe Biden’s poor debate performance. The latest measure is in line with how Americans viewed Harris at the beginning of Biden's term. It suggests some renewed positivity toward Harris, but she risks hitting a ceiling as she approaches her previous highest approval rating.
