Peet TerluinIn The Netherlands there is such a thing as "dynamic electricity tariffs". Due to solar and wind energy the prices can differ quite significant during the day. This is especially interesting for EV owners and since I have two of these rolling batteries I want to check on a regular basis what the prices are.
My energy provider "vandebron" only offers the prices in an app, which is slow, where I have to click a lot to arrive at the information I want. So, out of pure frustration, and for the joy of building (Using Delphi, not using AI ..), I found an API that I can use to request the prices, and with the information I create a HTML page that I ftp to a webserver. I also did something new for me, I created svg's that I directly use inside the HTML. Works like a charm.
So now I can see, in a single click on my phone, what the prices are. I fear the functionality will be extended in the future: email alert for negative (it happens!) pricing or maybe automatically turning off my solar systems when there is negative pricing.
