every single time i hear about a maintainer of a good piece of #foss using llm's, i think about how the original maintainer of my preferred file #encryption app - picocrypt - stopped working on it last year mainly because of llm's and the current horrible state of software development they've created.

I firmly believe that #Windows #users who only #browse the #web, watch #movies, use #word processing and #email, and do some basic #photo #editing are much better off with #Linux than with #Windows11. This is likely true for 85% of home Windows users.

You don't even have to make any major adjustments because the software looks almost identical on Windows and Linux:

1) For #browsing use #Firefox (or #LibreWolf).
2) For word processing use #LibreOffice.
3) For emails use #Thunderbird.
4) For movies use #VLC.
5) For photo editing use #Gimp (or #Krita).
6) There are now also better alternatives to many other Windows applications available on Linux...
