@zash I was talking about VPS with static IP, the usual way people host public servers, but if it is about a LAN or neighborhood mesh, there you could even have whatever domains you want with local DNS server or use the computer hostname as domain 🤔

@rhelune Why not get a Zoho Mail paid account? If you're in the European area, you would be allocated servers in The Netherlands. Plus, with a paid account you get imap/smtp to use in email clients like Thunderbird. Zoho also have servers in other world locations - I'm assuming (don't know, never tried) to use a VPN to sign up for one of their other world locations. EU alternatives to consider are mailbox.org and Migadu, depending also on your volume of emails and storage requirements.
