Well I've been "#running" for 12 weeks now. Since I'm not young, I took all this time for adaptation. As a middle-aged #cyclist, bone density can be an issue, so not taking any chances.
I been running in #zone2 this whole time which is about 9 min/mile for me. Now I get to start going faster.
Tonight I payed a little less attention to pace and did sub 8:30 miles. Running faster feels more natural
