A lesson and a warning for the “allies”? No one is willing to speculate. The center-right remains silent on the case. Apart from Alessandro Sorte, regional secretary of FI in Lombardy: “There has been much talk of the Vannacci effect, but it seems to me that the only truly visible effect is that of the moderate, liberal, popular area, which in Vigevano has shown itself to be alive” referring to the results of the Azzerri candidate Paolo Previde Massara. But in conversations off the record, the center-right downplays the significance of the local vote (and notes the result below one percent of the Vannacci list in Venice), but is chewing bitter.
