I played a 2h #solo #game of #WondrousCreatures to learn it. Lots of fun. I like that the #WorkerPlacement aspect is a different take on the regular mechanic. Next time I will play the proper solo version.

Jo and I got Galactic Cruise to the table today. Really fun. Theme of running a company with launching rocket cruises comes through quite well.

A ton of things to do, so it feels a little overwhelming at first, but the turns are quick and the actions are simple to do. It's thinky but in a good way.

For a first play it took us just under 2.5 hours, which wasn't unexpected. Time went quickly, especially because of how quick the turns went. We had a good time. I'm excited to try it either solo or with more players.

Google Photos reminded me that the last time I played Lords of Waterdeep was 7 years ago. Now that's a long time, but not longer than the last time I played Catan.

Anyway, I still consider Lords of Waterdeep a very good worker placement, and I always enjoyed it, but I have other games with themes that interest me more, such as Viticulture or Uwe Rosenberg's games. It's simple and quite fun. Better get it back on the table.
