Because of its distinct grooves and marks, the stone piece was believed to be some kind of board game – but obviously no rulebook was dug up to confirm this. Now, more than 40 years on, new technology appears to have solved the mystery.

Toy Battle : le nouvel as d’or. C’est très bien. Voilà. Ça a toute sa place. C’est simple, rapide, accessible et ça fera jouer dans les chaumières. Alors évidemment, nous qui sommes des vieux de la vieille, on sera blasés, c’est plus trop pour nous. Mais si j’avais eu ça gamin, je l’aurais poncé avec mes cousins.
