For the past 3 days on Meta, I’ve been watching Donald Trump supporters (MAGA), and even some of his inner circle, openly argue that live ammunition should be used on ordinary people the next time there’s a protest against Trump. They’re not hiding it. They are calling for blood — and they mean it.

These people are violent, and they simply do not care. Worse, they feel justified — righteous, even — in their hate. Every time a post is taken down, they appeal it with defiance, as if they are the ones being wronged. They believe they’re above consequence, and that should terrify all of us.

Hate is nothing new — I unfortunately see it all the time in my job. But lately, it has become excessive, beyond what I normally encounter on a typical day.

I truly do worry about the future of our nation. I worry that we're heading down a very dark path — and that too few people understand just how bad things are becoming.

What’s tragic is that nearly half of these people are angry about the same issues you are. They want affordable living — housing, fair wages, healthcare, and basic dignity. But instead of turning to democracy, they see Donald Trump becoming some kind of emperor as the solution. Not freedom, but authoritarian rule.

And what’s worse — they seem blind to the truth. The very reason their lives are so difficult is because of people like Donald Trump. If they could see that simple fact, I believe many of us could stand together. We could actually fight for real change. But instead, they turn further away from the truth.
