@Rowan yeah, that's kinda absurd, cuz I got more than a dozen of those...

Maybe @monocles / #monoclesSearch can implement an #AIslop-#Filter on their search?
- Pretty shure #searx as underlying #SearchEngine can do that.
- After all, search engines like Ahmia filter out CSAM domains (for obvious reasons!) so it stands to reason that one could just put all "#AI" slop onto a selectable filter one can toggle…

Lange Zeit https://monocles.eu/search mit Searx als Hauptsuchmaschine genutzt. Bis es leider nicht mehr ging.

Nun eben ein Video zu https://searxng.org gesehen, das ich mir 2023-03 auch schon notiert hatte (aber vergessen, warum wieder abgekommen). Next try.

Anyone still manages to use searx? I get error messages from most engines, and the few that do return results return low quality ones that aren't even in the specified language. I started using searx about three years ago and at first it worked well. Then I had to either change my engine settings or switch instances increesingly often. The instance in this example is search.disroot.org, which seemed to work for me a small while ago, then worked inconsistantly, then not at all. I've never ran my own instance, I don't think I'm equipped for that at tbe moment, but would that solve the issue? Or are there other public instances not facing these problems? Or —I hope not— did these search engines companies start garding themselves against meta search engines using their results, to force us to use them directly?
