Moving my win11 to a smaller harddisk was trickier than it should be.

i resized the partition so that it would fit the smaller drive. but just diskdumping threw errors because of the larger unassigned space.

system image and recovery didn't work because the install process didn't let me change to "repair computer".

I then just did a fresh install on the smaller drive but turned the pc off when it came to "give your windows account". But so i had the drive partitioned. Finally i diskdumped just the main partition (p3) and it booted and i could login to my old w11 on the small drive.

A Beautiful Mind…Despite Brokenness

Daily writing promptWhat’s a moment that made you realize you were stronger than you thought?View all responses After giving birth to my second daughter, I developed post-partum thyroiditis (later changed to Grave's Disease). Due to economic and other reasons, I was unable to get care for that condition so I suffered for almost 2 years with it. At the time, I also had Bipolar 1 and PTSD, only I was unaware of my risk factors for psychosis due to being misdiagnosed with Borderline […]

Some of the reasons why trauma recovery is so confusing (🧵):

- sometimes you feel WORSE because your circumstances are safer! Because now your body and mind can release old trauma material that they had to hold onto for so long

- Feeling worse/triggered can be due to actual real-time trauma or abuse too, though

- staying/going back into traumatising circumstances (like relationships with old or new abusers) can feel "good" or like a relief because now you know what the rules of the game are and it helps keep old trauma material down - at least for a while

- Feeling better/relieved/like you know the rules of the game can also be caused by actually being in better circumstances and surrounded by people who are genuine and honest

International divers assist in recovery of Italian victims from Maldives cave

A multinational team of expert divers has arrived in the Maldives to recover the bodies of four Italian tourists who died while scuba diving near Vaavu Atoll. The tragedy follows the death of Italian diving instructor Gianluca Benedetti, whose body was found at the cave entrance, and a Maldivian senior military diver, Sgt. Mohamed Mahudhee, who died during a recovery attempt. The missing victims include Monica Montefalcone, an ecology professor, her daughter Giorgia Sommacal, marine biologist Federico Gualtieri, and researcher Muriel Oddenino. Challenging conditions in the cave, including strong currents, narrow passageways, and extreme depths of up to 70 meters, have hampered recovery efforts. Experts from Finland, the UK, and Australia are assisting with specialized equipment and techniques. Authorities are investigating the legality of the dive, as recreational divers are not allowed beyond 30 meters, and the Italian tour operator claims it was unaware of the deeper dive. Families and institutions have expressed condolences, and both Maldivian and Italian governments are coordinating to support recovery and honor the victims. The incident underscores the risks of deep-cave diving and has drawn international attention due to the involvement of highly experienced divers and the complexity of the mission.

Undereating Slows Muscle Repair Even With High Protein Intake 🥗⏬

Workouts create the stimulus for muscle growth, but growth itself happens during recovery. If nutrition is too low, the body cannot fully capitalize on the work being done in the gym.

🔨 Muscle Repair Requires More Than Protein

⚡️ Low Energy Intake Reduces Recovery Speed

🍗 Protein Can Be Burned for Energy Instead of Growth

🧬 Recovery Hormones Struggle During Undereating

I am grateful that I survived character assassinations made by lemmy.world and wizard.casa. I am still alive despite my overwhelming moments. They are not there to bring justice; they are managing risks to their survival by attacking my character and exploiting me. I know who the admin is, and who they are. They take for granted my effort in making things right. They think they can make me forget.

Edit: Still, lemmy.world did not return my data despite my explicit request to them, and they blamed their nature, stating that they are unpaid and minimising the seriousness by returning my data after approximately 28 days. However, I did not accept this because they violated the set deadline of 3 days.

Edit 2: Also, one user was also harassing me through DMs when I was being vulnerable. The Fediverse instance is gotosocial.social. For them, perhaps the harassment is cool, harmless, and democratic—until someone does the same to them, at which point they might label it as trolling.

#MissKittyRaw One day I'll probably sob for America the way I did for a woman today that I couldn't listen to anymore who just can't stop using. She can't stop. I have talked with her for a couple of years. She lives on East Coast. I'm West Coast. I am in #recovery. I do it my way. I know the deal.
