Mirages at the Piran salt pans.
A little egret (*Egretta garzetta*) in the midst of a slow, patient stalk. Captured at Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, Slovenia, amidst intense heat that made the horizon shimmer. The bird is the official symbol of this beautiful protected wetland.
