There us such variety in those flower, despite their superficial similarities.
That garden also has many fabulous rhododendrons, you can see one of them in the background.
In the background you can see yet another magnolia tree, a slightly different species.
On Friday afternoon I went back to the garden with all the magnolia trees. It was rainy and the walk there was against a strong wind along the sea. But a storm had been forecast for the weekend so most of the flowers would be gone by Monday. It was worth it: I'd never seen the trees in such magnificent bloom.
