Le lundi lecture - rédaction. Une lecture pas récente mais qui doit justement être critiquée à la lumière des nouvelles perspectives historiques de cette recherche en histoire des corps - et qui malgré tout est toujours assez pertinente (sans que l’auteur n’avoue à quel point les images frappantes qu’il décrit sont problématiques, bien qu’il cite le patriarcat), années 80 obligent. #phDcandidate #thèseEnCours

Recently my bosses shared their expectations of PhD candidates.
I see their point - if I did everything that was expected, my scientific results would've been much better. For a time. Then I would become absolutely exhausted and useless.
I can't stop thinking that these expectations are based on an experience of a single man in his 20s who doesn't have any interests outside of the lab (And of course doesn't have any mental health issues)
