so I was reading in twitter about what it might mean to “hack the conference,” that is, do the messy work of making conferences accessible when organizers won’t.
I’m chairing 2 panels at #nemla 2023, in about a month, and I’m doing them DIY-hybrid. Hooking up my laptop and zooming people in, despite institutional decisions not to be hybrid-accessible.
Has anyone else done this at a conference? Planning to? Tips/solidarity appreciated. #disabilityjustice #makeitaccessibleorburnitdown
