Today, I completed transcribing the second half of the #grandma recording, I had started last week and while at it, I managed to complete the remaining two recordings from that 10th of October 2021 as well. There was another round of picking on poor aunt Sophie #Steurenthaler who cried for months about losing her husband to the war. Grandma was still upset on her, when Sophie passed away some 35 years later, she wouldn't even visit her corpse.

Una turista polacca 25enne è morta ieri dopo essere scivolata sugli scogli e aver battuto la testa. La tragedia è avvenuta a Riomaggiore, in provincia della Spezia. L’allarme è stato lanciato da alcuni giovani del borgo che hanno cercato di soccorrere la giovane donna.
Sul posto sono intervenuti il soccorso alpino, i vigili del fuoco, la capitaneria di porto, i carabinieri, la pubblica assistenza locale e il 118, ma non c’è stato nulla da fare. Le operazioni di recupero sono state complesse con il corpo che è poi stato trasferito alla Spezia con un gommone dei vigili del fuoco.

A 25-year-old Polish tourist died yesterday after falling on the rocks and hitting her head. The tragedy occurred in Riomaggiore, in the province of Spezia. The alarm was raised by some young people from the village who tried to help the young woman.
Firefighters, the harbor authority, the Carabinieri, local emergency services, and the 118 arrived on the scene, but there was nothing to be done. Recovery operations were complex, and the body was transferred to Spezia with a fireboat.

The injured person is a young Polish man born in 2006: he was hit by a snowdrift while descending a exposed channel near the piste. He was revived on the spot and transferred by helicopter to the Santa Chiara Hospital in Trento. Avalanche danger is marked in the area.
