Una maledizione infinita: Arkadiusz Milik si ferma di nuovo. L’attaccante della Juventus ha accusato un problema muscolare durante l’allenamento di martedì 14 aprile e oggi è stato sottoposto ad accertamenti radiologici al J Medical. L’esito è tanto frustrante quanto prevedibile: “Gli esami hanno evidenziato una lesione di medio grado del bicipite femorale della coscia destra. Tra circa 10 giorni saranno ripetuti nuovi controlli per definire con esattezza i tempi di recupero”. Tradotto: il 32enne polacco non tornerà più in campo in questa stagione.
È l’ennesima mazzata, sia per Milik sia per la Juve. Luciano Spalletti stava provando faticosamente a reintegrarlo stabilmente in gruppo, dopo che l’attaccante era letteralmente sparito dai radar. Il tecnico lo aveva convocato per la prima volta nella sfida contro la Roma del 20 dicembre scorso, a 574 giorni dall’ultima presenza con la maglia bianconera. Era il 25 maggio 2024, la Juve batteva 2-0 il Monza all’ultima giornata e Milik era rimasto in campo per 73 minuti. Il polacco era andato due volte in panchina, poi era stato fermato da un nuovo problema al polpaccio.
Il ritorno in campo era arrivato finalmente contro il Sassuolo, il 21 marzo scorso: gli 11 minuti finali del match pareggiato 1 a 1 dai bianconeri, con il polacco che era perfino andato vicino a un gol che sarebbe stato da favola. Poi altri 23 minuti il 6 aprile nel match contro il Genoa. Adesso il nuovo stop. Questi 34 minuti complessivi rimangono quindi gli unici giocati da Milik nelle ultime due stagione.
A giugno 2024 – prima degli Europei – la rottura dei legamenti del ginocchio. Il ko da cui non si è mai più ripreso. Per oltre un anno il polacco sembrava pronto per tornare, ma si è mai capito bene quale fosse realmente la natura dello stop. Le sue condizioni sono rimaste avvolte nel mistero per diversi mesi, più o meno fino all’arrivo di Spalletti. Milik, che ha un contratto fino al 2027, sembrava perfino poter diventare un’alternativa per l’attacco bianconero anche in vista della prossima stagione. Questo nuovo ko però alimenta le incognite sul suo futuro.

An endless curse: Arkadiusz Milik stops again. The Juventus striker has suffered a muscle problem during Tuesday’s training session, April 14th, and was subjected to radiological examinations at J Medical today. The result is as frustrating as it is predictable: “The tests revealed a moderate injury to the right hamstring biceps. New checks will be repeated in about 10 days to precisely define the recovery times.” Translated: the 32-year-old Polish player will not return to the field this season.

It’s another blow, for Milik and for Juve alike. Luciano Spalletti was painstakingly trying to reintegrate him permanently into the group, after the striker had literally disappeared from radar. The coach had called him up for the first time in the match against Roma on December 20th, 574 days since his last appearance for the Bianconeri. It was May 25, 2024, when Juve beat Monza 2-0 in the last match of the season, and Milik played for 73 minutes. The Polish player had gone to the bench twice, then was stopped by a new problem with his calf.

His return to the field finally arrived against Sassuolo, on March 21st: the final 11 minutes of the 1-1 draw by the Bianconeri, with Milik even coming close to a fairytale goal. Then another 23 minutes on April 6th in the match against Genoa. Now this new stop. These 34 minutes in total remain the only ones played by Milik in the last two seasons.

In June 2024 – before the European Championships – the rupture of the knee ligaments. The injury from which he never recovered. For over a year, the Polish player seemed ready to return, but the true nature of the stop was never clearly understood. His condition remained shrouded in mystery for several months, more or less until Spalletti’s arrival. Milik, who has a contract until 2027, seemed even able to become an alternative for the Bianconeri attack even for next season. This new setback however fuels the uncertainties about his future.

AGI - Un intervento odontoiatrico all’estero, rivelatosi un fallimento, e un progressivo crollo psicologico: è il quadro emerso dall’inchiesta sulla morte di Pawel Bukowski, 48enne polacco residente nel Regno Unito, che si è tolto la vita dopo mesi di sofferenza. Il caso riaccende i riflettori sui rischi del turismo sanitario.
Intervento fallito e attese non previste
Secondo quanto riportato da 'The Guardian', Pawel Bukowski, carrellista di 48 anni, si era recato nel gennaio 2025 in una clinica privata in Turchia per sostituire i denti compromessi da una grave parodontite. L’uomo si aspettava che, dopo l’estrazione, gli venisse applicata una protesi temporanea.
Invece, gli fu comunicato che avrebbe dovuto attendere sei mesi prima di ricevere gli impianti definitivi, restando nel frattempo senza denti. Una notizia che, secondo i familiari, ha avuto un impatto devastante sul suo equilibrio emotivo.
Il crollo psicologico dopo il rientro
Durante l’inchiesta presso il tribunale del coroner di Norfolk è emerso che, una volta rientrato nel Regno Unito, Bukowski ha sviluppato gravi problemi di salute mentale. A pesare sono stati diversi fattori: la difficoltà a mangiare, il disagio estetico, i costi più alti del previsto per un intervento percepito come fallimentare e l’abuso di alcol.
La moglie, Daria Bukowska, lo ha descritto come un uomo attento alla propria salute e al proprio aspetto. La perdita dei denti, ha spiegato, “ha distrutto la sua autostima e la sua speranza”, portandolo progressivamente a isolarsi dalla famiglia.
Le richieste di aiuto e il mancato ricovero
Le condizioni psicologiche dell’uomo sono peggiorate rapidamente. Il 24 aprile è stato ricoverato all’ospedale universitario di Norfolk e Norwich, dove uno specialista ha evidenziato forti tendenze suicide.
Nonostante ciò, è stato stabilito che non necessitasse di un ricovero psichiatrico. Quattro giorni dopo, il 28 aprile 2025, Bukowski è stato trovato morto nella sua abitazione.
Le conclusioni dell’inchiesta
Il medico legale Johanna Thompson ha classificato la morte come suicidio. La moglie ha denunciato una serie di mancanze, sostenendo che i problemi del marito siano stati ripetutamente ignorati, compresa la gestione dei sintomi legati all’astinenza da alcol.

During the investigation at the Norfolk coroner’s court, it emerged that upon returning to the United Kingdom, Bukowski developed serious mental health problems. Several factors weighed in: the difficulty in eating, the aesthetic discomfort, higher-than-expected costs for a procedure perceived as a failure, and alcohol abuse.

Conclusions of the Investigation
Medical examiner Johanna Thompson classified the death as suicide. His wife reported a series of shortcomings, arguing that her husband's problems were repeatedly ignored, including the management of symptoms related to alcohol withdrawal.

“Pawel was disappointed at crucial moments,” she stated. “I hope that no other family has to live through a similar tragedy: he deserved more.”
