Most ADHD challenges in leadership aren’t about discipline.
They’re about friction. Reduce the friction, and the work becomes workable.

I often find it difficult to succinctly explain ADHD to someone who doesn't live with it. The label itself is widely misunderstood and highly stigmatized. This article surprised me today -- a great glimpse of the actual daily lived experience.

Unlock the Potential: How ADHD in the Workplace Enriches Diversity

Too often, the added value, talents and unique perspectives of colleagues with ADHD are overshadowed by prejudices and incorrect assumptions, such as people with ADHD cannot sit still or are lazy. The study ‘Workplace Neurodiversity: The Power Of Difference’ conducted by the ‘Institute of Leadership & Management’ showed that ADHD has the most stigma in the workplace and that 32% of the companies surveyed would not hire employees with that neurotype. That is why we believe that ADHD deserves a place in the spotlight, and there is no better time to do this than during ‘ADHD Awareness Month’. Discover the added value of this neurotype in this article and how colleagues with ADHD enrich your team and organization with their contributions.

Today, it’s exactly two years ago that Dietrich presented his talk “ADHDeveloper” for the very first time.

A talk that sheds a light on working as a software engineer with #ADHD, how software teams appear to have ADHD themselves, and how to create better environments at work for neurodivergent people in general.

It was heart-warming to help open up the conversation around #neurodiversity and to improve the workplaces of many neurodivergent professionals.
