Garlasco – “I don’t make deals and I will speak again,” insists Massimo Lovati, the former lawyer for Sempio, on the “machination” of 2017.

“Part of the 2017 investigation was dumped into today’s proceedings, so there’s a certain continuity, they could be interdependent.” With these words, Massimo Lovati, former lawyer for Andrea Sempio, reiterated the claim of a supposed “conspiracy” behind the investigation that nine years earlier involved the 38-year-old in the Garlasco crime. Lovati spoke this morning upon entering the Milan Courthouse, where the pre-trial hearing of the case against him for defamation was held. The accusation stems from statements made on March 13, 2025, outside the Montebello Barracks in Milan, when he described the 2017 investigation into Sempio as “the result of a conspiracy orchestrated by the defense of the Giarda Studio.”

Accompanied by his lawyer, Fabrizio Gallo, the 73-year-old from Vigevano denied the possibility of alternative proceedings. “I don’t plea bargain, I don’t ask for a suspended sentence,” he stated, explaining that nothing would happen “nothing” during today’s hearing. However, another point drew attention: Lovati announced that “later” he might make further statements about the case that led to his trial. “I will speak about the 2017 conspiracy, that’s why I am here,” he told the reporters.

Lovati was investigated and subsequently indicted by the Milan Public Prosecutor Fabio De Pasquale following a complaint filed by the lawyers Enrico and Fabio Giarda, children of Professor Angelo Giarda, the historic lawyer for Alberto Stasi, who was definitively convicted for the murder of Chiara Poggi.

The indictment charges Lovati not only with the statements made outside the Command Legion Carabinieri Lombardia barracks, where Sempio had gone for DNA collection after the reopening of the investigation, but also with a long series of statements made to national television and broadcasts. According to the prosecution, Lovati allegedly told viewers of Tg1, Tg2, Tg3, SkyTG24, La7, Mediaset, Milano Pavia Tv, Fanpage, Antenna 3 and programs like Quarto Grado, Le Iene and Mattino Cinque that “the 2017 investigation” was “the result of a manipulation organized by the investigators of the defense studios of Stasi,” adding that Sempio’s DNA had been “clandestinely taken” in 2016.

Lovati’s statements come as the Garlasco case continues to reignite the debate between the defense teams involved in the new investigative phase. In an interview with Repubblica, Antonio De Rensis, defender of Alberto Stasi alongside lawyer Giada Boccellari, reiterated that the defense’s work will continue without hesitation. “No judicial action can slow me and my colleague Boccellari in trying to establish what we consider to be the truth: Alberto Stasi is innocent. Especially after reading the documents from Pavia,” the lawyer stated.

According to De Rensis, the new evidence in the investigation “further distances Alberto from the responsibilities established by the verdicts” and represents “an enormous, deeper and more complex job than I could have imagined.” The lawyer then harshly criticized certain reconstructions that emerged in the media debate surrounding the case. “I am dismayed to read and hear an investigated making suppositions of corruption about Napoleone and Civardi. And even more so certain of your colleagues giving the poor imbecile carabinieri. I believe it is more than legitimate to doubt these media,” he declared, adding: “From the moment I worked alongside Giada Boccellari, I imagined this would happen.” Finally, De Rensis commented on the complaint filed against him by Stefania Cappa, Chiara Poggi’s cousin. “I keep to myself what I think. Certainly, when she made her report public, I defended myself on TV with Milo Infante: I believe I have the right to do so,” he concluded.

Il Fatto Quotidiano: Non si ferma all’alt, fugge in autostrada e lancia l’auto nei campi per scappare: arrestato, trasportava 2kg di cocaina

Non si era fermato all’alt degli agenti della Squadra Mobile lodigiana: il 20enne alla guida ha percorso 50km fino a Pontenure, in provincia di Piacenza, e, braccato dagli agenti, ha deciso di sterzare in un campo, lasciando l’auto e proseguendo la sua fuga a piedi. Fermato dopo poco dalle forze dell’ordine, nella sua auto sono stati ritrovati due chilogrammi di cocaina.
La lunga fuga del 20enne era iniziata a Lodi nella mattinata di venerdì 27 marzo. A raccontare la vicenda è FanPage: i poliziotti avrebbero intimato l’alt a una Opel che procedeva in modo incerto, ma il conducente, un giovane di origini marocchine senza precedenti penali, aveva subito accelerato imboccando l’entrata dell’autostrada A1 in direzione Sud. Durante la fuga il 20enne avrebbe zigzagato tra le varie corsie, ricorrendo anche alla corsia di emergenza pur di seminare le volanti della polizia. La Opel era poi uscita nei pressi di Pontenure, dove gli agenti della polizia stradale di Guardamiglio gli avrebbero rinnovato nuovamente l’alt. A quel punto il 20enne, vistosi circondato, avrebbe sterzato bruscamente verso un cantiere, sfondando le recinzioni, abbattendo una barriera laterale, cercando così di proseguire la sua fuga nei campi vicini all’autostrada.
Il ragazzo non è però più riuscito a proseguire la corsa e ha allora abbandonato l’auto scappando a piedi: dopo qualche centinaio di metri, gli agenti l’hanno bloccato all’interno di una vecchia cascina. Nell’auto sono stati trovati 2 chili di cocaina, suddivisi in panetti termosaldati per cercare di eludere i controlli dei cani antidroga, e oltre 600 euro in contanti. Il 20enne è stato quindi condotto in carcere, in attesa del processo per direttissima.

He hadn’t stopped at the checkpoint of the Mobile Squad officers from Lodigiana: the 20-year-old driver had traveled 50km to Pontenure, in the province of Piacenza, and, pursued by the officers, decided to swerve into a field, abandoning the car and continuing his flight on foot. Stopped shortly after by law enforcement, two kilograms of cocaine were found in his car.

The 20-year-old’s long flight began in Lodi in the morning of Friday, March 27th. FanPage reports the story: the police officers had signaled the driver of a Opel to stop, but the driver, a young man of Moroccan origins with no prior criminal record, immediately accelerated, entering the A1 highway in the south. During the chase, the 20-year-old zigzagged between the various lanes, even using the emergency lane to evade the police. The Opel then exited near Pontenure, where officers from Guardamiglio renewed the stop. At that point, the 20-year-old, seeing himself surrounded, suddenly swerved towards a construction site, smashing through fences, knocking down a side barrier, and attempting to continue his flight in the fields near the highway.

The boy was unable to continue his run and then abandoned the car, fleeing on foot: after a few hundred meters, the officers blocked him inside an old farmhouse. Two kilograms of cocaine were found in the car, divided into heat-sealed blocks to try to evade drug-sniffing dog checks, and over 600 euros in cash. The 20-year-old was then taken to prison, awaiting direct indictment trial.

“Non pensavo che il tema carcerario a livello umano fosse così complesso e urgente”. Parole di Ivan Errichiello, noto come il re del reselling di orologi di lusso Ivan Szydlik. L’uomo, in carcere dal giugno del 2024 per truffa aggravata, autoriciclaggio e abusivismo finanziario, ha inviato a Fanpage una lettera dove ha annunciato che espiata la pena si dedicherà “alla sensibilizzazione sul sistema penitenziario italiano” e che, soprattutto, non solo attraverso i social, ma anche “nella vita pubblica ed entrare in politica. Szydlik ha scontato quasi due anni della sua pena e dopo San Vittore ha cambiato carcere diverse volte.
Ora si trova a Bergamo ed è dal penitenziario della città orobica che l’ex re del reselling ha preso carta e penna. “Microcosmi fatti di persone, fragilità, errori e speranze spesso soffocate da condizioni strutturali che rendono impossibile parlare seriamente di rieducazione”, scrive Szydlik evidenziando il sovraffollamento delle celle, ma anche il sottodimensionamento della polizia penitenziaria e la continua gestione di emergenze per un personale sanitario sempre più stremato. “Ho incontrato persone che hanno sbagliato, come me, ma che desiderano cambiare. Ho visto giovani che avrebbero avuto bisogno di essere intercettati prima, aiutati prima, ascoltati prima”, scrive ancora Szydlik. “Chi ha conosciuto certi errori e certe realtà dall’interno possa contribuire a cambiarle con maggiore consapevolezza. Se il carcere deve avere un senso, quel senso deve essere il cambiamento”.
Szydlik era stato arrestato dopo che la Guardia di Finanza aveva rilevato come l’uomo pubblicava sui suoi profili social annunci di vendita di orologi di lusso per i quali incassava gli anticipi ma senza mai consegnare il prodotto. Inoltre avrebbe gestito con un complice la compravendita di quote di società fittizie, usando il denaro ricavato per ostentare una vita da nababbo.

“I didn’t think the human aspect of the prison issue was so complex and urgent.” Words of Ivan Errichiello, known as the “king” of luxury watch reselling Ivan Szydlik. The man, in prison since June 2024 for aggravated fraud, autotheft, and financial abuse, sent a letter to Fanpage announcing that upon serving his sentence he would dedicate himself “to raising awareness about the Italian prison system” and that, above all, not only through social media but also “in public life and entering politics.” Szydlik has served almost two years of his sentence and after San Vittore he has changed prisons several times.

Now he is in Bergamo and from this Lombardy prison he has taken up pen and paper. “Microcosms made of people, fragility, errors, and often hopes suffocated by structural conditions that make it impossible to seriously discuss rehabilitation,” Szydlik writes, highlighting cell overcrowding, but also the understaffing of the prison police and the continuous management of emergencies for an increasingly depleted healthcare staff. “I met people who made mistakes, like me, but who want to change. I saw young people who would have needed to be intercepted sooner, helped sooner, listened to sooner,” Szydlik continues. “Those who have known such errors and realities from the inside can contribute to changing them with greater awareness. If prison must have a purpose, that purpose must be change.”

Szydlik was arrested after the Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) discovered that he was posting on his social media profiles advertisements for luxury watches for which he received deposits but never delivered the product. Furthermore, he was allegedly managing the purchase and sale of shares in fictitious companies with a accomplice, using the money obtained to flaunt a wealthy lifestyle.
