LOMBARDY Releases New Album Catch A Buzz, Not The Fuzz via East Iris Records

Nashville-based alternative rock band Lombardy release their new album Catch A Buzz, Not The Fuzz, available now on all streaming platforms via East Iris Records / Virgin Music Group.
 
A good cult classic has a few essential ingredients—action, romance, a little chaos, and a refusal to play by the rules. Lombardy channel all of that and more into Catch A Buzz, Not The Fuzz, crafting a record that feels less like a traditional album and more like flipping through a stack of worn VHS tapes pulled from a bargain bin.
 
The album kicks off with the ripping instrumental “Warm-Up Lap,” setting the tone before launching into standout track “1992 Hooters 500,” a high-octane, adrenaline-fueled anthem inspired by one of NASCAR’s most iconic races. Packed with vivid, high-speed imagery—from drag strips to super-speedways—the track delivers a gritty, fast-paced ride built for rock playlists that don’t let up.
 
Elsewhere on the album, standouts like “Motorbike” and “Jane Fonda” explore life as creators in a rapidly changing city—balancing boredom, nightlife, love, and run-ins with authority—with equal parts humor and grit. Mike Scott’s gnashing vocal delivery cuts through like squealing tires at a red light, demanding attention before giving way to moments of release on tracks like “Don’t Know Anymore.”
 
As the record unfolds, Jonathan Plevyak delivers a dynamic range of performances—from the carefree swagger of “I’m A Vibe” to the longing introspection of “Back To You” and “Venice Beach 1989.” Bassist Seth Rentfrow steps into the spotlight on “Sexify,” a raucous, heavy-hitting track that captures the band at one of its most explosive moments.
 
The album closes with “Goodbye (Get High),” a hazy, reflective comedown that trades high-speed chaos for something more nostalgic—like the final scene of a film you’re not quite ready to end. It’s a fitting conclusion to a debut that invites listeners to rewind and experience it all over again.
 
To celebrate the release, Lombardy will headline their official album release show tonight at The End in Nashville, TN. Tickets are available HERE. Known for their unpredictable and electrifying live performances, the show promises a full-throttle extension of the album’s raw energy.

AGI - 'Mi Manda RaiTre' ha anticipato che Nicole Minetti, l'ex consigliera regionale della Lombardia condannata in via definitiva a 1 anno e un mese per peculato e a 2 anni e 10 mesi per induzione alla prostituzione nell'ambito del processo 'Ruby bis', le cosiddette 'cene eleganti', è stata graziata dal Presidente della Repubblica. "Il provvedimento di grazia, giunto per motivi umanitari, è stato rilasciato nelle scorse settimane con il parere positivo del ministro della Giustizia Nordio e quello del Procuratore Capo della Corte d'Appello", informa sempre, sui social, il conduttore della trasmissione, Federico Ruffo, confermando che questa mattina è andata in onda un'anticipazione mentre domani sarà trasmessa l'inchiesta integrale.
In riferimento alla vicenda della grazia conferita a Nicole Minetti, sono invece fonti del Quirinale a precisare che "la concessione dell'atto di clemenza, in favore del quale si è espresso - si ricorda - il competente Procuratore generale della Corte d'appello in un ampio parere, si è fondata anche sulle gravi condizioni di salute di uno stretto familiare minore della Minetti che necessita di assistenza e cure particolari, presso ospedali altamente specializzati".
"La normativa a tutela dei dati sensibili dei minori non consente di rendere noti dettagli sulle condizioni di salute del minore", fanno osservare le stesse fonti.
