Statt meiner üblichen Laufrunden, gabs heute zuerst einen zügigen Lauf zur A44 Brücke, dort ein verabredetes Treffen mit @sl1974@mastodon.social und dann gemeinsam gemütliche 7km zurücktraben zu den Rheinwiesen. Ein Teilstück bin ich barfuß gelaufen, das musste einfach sein. Die letzten 2km dann wieder allein nach hause. Hat Spaß gemacht und wird definitiv wiederholt! Ich laufe zu wenig langsames Tempo, allein bekomm ich das nicht hin, aber in Begleitung klappts 👍

Terrible traffic trying to get to run club this evening, but arrived just to see them disappearing around the corner. Managed to catch up to them and enjoyed the 8 mile route for the first time in a little while, and even enjoyed running up Bridge Valley Road. I still need to look up Jack Harding.

Back in the carbon plated shoes for a mini-session as I'm racing next week. Too early in the day to take on the cycle commuters on the railway path, so opted for Eastville Lake as my track. Not straight, and a few dogs, streams and children to hurdle, but managed to get a Mona fartlek in (2x90s, 4x60s, 4x30s, 4x15s all with equal recoveries). Surprised myself with some decent speed, with most reps sub 4min/km. Now to see how I recover from it.

Es wurde mal wieder Zeit für einen sehr entspannten Spazierlauf von Haan nach Düsseldorf. Erst ausgiebig beim Schwiegerpapa frühstücken, ne Weile sacken lassen und dann nach Hause laufen. Wunderbar 🙂
Ich nutze diese One-Way Strecke gern für meine langsameren Läufe, von Asphalt bis Singletrails ist alles dabei, toll abwechslungsreich.

New shoes for a new month. Everyone seemed to be out on the railway path this morning. Good to get in a nice easy 10 miles with only some light drizzle instead of the forecast rain. Tokyo marathon shirt worn as is traditional on marathon day. I even found some tiny daffodils for St. David's Day.

36.26 miles (58.36km) for the week.
