Finished #audiobook Until the Last of Me by Sylvain Neuvel, 2nd in series. Our protagonists are a line of women who are alien clones, whose history goes back 100 generations. A short list of rules is passed to each generation which appoints them the mission of helping get humans to the stars. In this book Mia is raising her daughter Lola and together they try to figure out the mystery of #8, who carved a poem on an ancient bow which now resides in a Chinese museum. Lola eventually goes on a journey to find an artifact whose location is the subject of the ancient poem. This artifact is also sought by a line of alien male clones called trackers, who have tried to kill the women clones throughout history. One of the clones has ideas that he might be able to overcome his murderous urges. This book wasn't as good as the first one in my opinion but it's still a unique story which weaves real events from human history throughout. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ #scifi #bookstodon
