What’s going on? MPs will vote on amendments to the Cyber Security and Resilience Bill next Tuesday 16 June. Victoria Collins MP, has tabled amendment NC13, that would require the Government to publish a Digital Sovereignty Strategy. This is urgently needed to reduce the UK’s dependence on a small number of foreign-owned technology companies for critical public services and infrastructure. The UK government relies on risky and costly big foreign companies to provide it’s digital infrastructure. These companies lock us in their expensive services.
Apple ha annunciato che la nuova Siri AI non arriverà, per ora, su iPhone e iPad nell’Unione Europea.
La motivazione ufficiale? Il Digital Markets Act.
La realtà? Apple non ha trovato (o non ha voluto trovare) soluzioni di interoperabilità ritenute conformi agli standard europei di privacy e sicurezza.
Il DMA non è un ostacolo all’innovazione. È la norma che impedisce alle grandi piattaforme (tra cui Apple, Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, ByteDance) di trasformare il loro controllo infrastrutturale in potere di mercato permanente.
Il regolamento è adeguato allo scopo e va applicato con rigore, anche nell’intelligenza artificiale.
Perché la scelta di quali strumenti digitali usare spetta a noi, ai cittadini europei, non a Cupertino.

Lokalny sąd w Monachium (DE) orzekł, że Google ponosi odpowiedzialność za treść jej "streszczeń generowanych przez sztuczną inteligencję”.
Sąd uznał odpowiedzialność za treści publikowane przez Google, stąd też ta firma ponosi konsekwencje, gdy jej działania prowadzą do powstania błędnych i szkodliwych stwierdzeń, tak jak miało to miejsce w tej sprawie.
Argument Google, że firma jest w jakiś sposób zwolniona z odpowiedzialności, nie został uwzględniony. Musi usunąć błędne stwierdzenia i pokryć 80% kosztów.
Zapewne teraz długa batalia odwoławcza. Polecam wątek.
