@maxim Hi folks, I'm building computers and developing software professionally since my teen years when 6502 and Z80 were all the rage. These days I do almost only C++ in a small engineering company in the south of Germany. The problem domain is mostly applied signal processing, machine control, data visualization, inter-device communication, interaction with enterprise resource planning, and the like. I'm also a member of the C++ Standard committee, involved in the future core language.

@maxim

Hi, I'm an aspirin GameDev from Chile πŸ‡¨πŸ‡±

I work mostly on #GameMaker , and currently trying to learn #Unity  and #Godot

I love #Linux  and would like to develop games for that platform one day.

@maxim Hey there, I'm a gamedev both in a studio and mustering the energy to work on personal projects as well.
I used to do a lot of #ActionScript when that used to be a thing.
Nowadays I do... still ActionScript! (still alive in the gaming industry for UI! 😁 ) in a studio in Sweden, and #csharp for my projects on #Unity, but in the process of trying to migrate to #Godot! (still in C# though, I don't feel that I'll like gdscript πŸ˜… )

@maxim Hi everyone, I am a #frontend developer (with maybe just a little bit of #backend knowledge) in Canada. I mainly use #React, #Typescript with #Nextjs

@cornflour @maxim
Hey man I'm shayan from Iran. I have some knowledge in backend stuff. I usually use python. My id in GitHub is "shayan15sa". You can dm me in element and there I'm "shayan16sal"

idk but this message is really awkward for me πŸ˜‚. Sorry about that

@cornflour @maxim may be we can do some thing together
@shayan16sa @maxim Hey there!
I am not really looking to do a new side project atm, but if you have something in mind in particular, feel free to DM me and I'll see if I can help in some way
@cornflour @maxim very good. Currently I'm working on a Django project that organizes wc queue. I just work on it in my free times. Where can I dm you?
@shayan16sa @maxim you can just DM in mastodon i believe

@maxim

Hey, it's Artem from Poland πŸ‡΅πŸ‡±. I mess around with #vlang and I'm making the #eggcellentadventure game when I can.

Used to work a lot with #Unity, but kinda over it now. Thinking of building my own engine in V for my games. Hoping to make a cool #VR game with solid physics one day πŸ˜…

I do some #opensource stuff and I'm into #linux.

At my day job, I mainly do #backend in #csharp and some #devops.

Would love to chat with other game devs, hit me up!

@maxim I worked as a #backend developer in the #web area. But always want to go to #gamedev. So now I mostly learn C++ and #Unreal  Made some game projects using it.

Some time I found another cool engine is #godotengine . This is an amazing, so easy to use. It helps me to understand a lot of basic gamedev stuff I need to know. I read all of that in the documentation which are perfect πŸ™ƒ Also Godot works great on #linux  which is an another great OS

@maxim
I am Ukrainian πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ developer

And I am working on own game on Unity

@maxim I'm Kagan MacTane, a front-end web developer from Brooklyn and San Francisco. I've got strong skills in #HTML and #JavaScript, am trying to brush up my #CSS, and I'm also trying to wean myself off of #ReactJS and find a better front-end framework.

#Accessibility and #UX are very important to me. I like making things that users enjoy. I also like maps and location-aware stuff.

Howdy Kagan! I don’t usually do this, but if you’re trying to detox from React with another front-end library, I’d highly recommend #HTMX https://htmx.org. It is weird and different in the beginning because it turns everything you know from react (or in my case, Angular) on its head. Once you figure it out, though, it is like coding with superpowers. @kagan @maxim
</> htmx - high power tools for html

htmx gives you access to AJAX, CSS Transitions, WebSockets and Server Sent Events directly in HTML, using attributes, so you can build modern user interfaces with the simplicity and power of hypertext htmx is small (~14k min.gz’d), dependency-free, extendable, IE11 compatible & has reduced code base sizes by 67% when compared with react

@benpate Thanks for the suggestion. I've seen some stuff about it lately and been intrigued; it's definitely on my list to investigate when I get the time (along with Vue and Svelte, and maybe Solid). @maxim
@maxim Hi everyone, I am a #backend developer for 20+ years. I code mostly in #perl, #nim, #python, #cpp and many more #polyglot. A bit of #rust. I am from Europe. Additionaly I am a #sysadmin for life. So if you need some help, my DM are open or ping me public. Have a nice one eyerybody!
@rokku @maxim Welcome! Follow and tag @Perl to join the #Perl developer fediverse community!
@maxim hey, I am a game developer from Ukraine. I am doing web games, did Unity before and now building a #PropaGUNdaGame with Godot
