PaulSpent the morning in some fine company in #Exmouth not seeing a Yellow-browed Warbler but seeing two (year firsts!) Black Redstart and a Cirl Bunting was great compensation plus hundreds of Brent Goose on the Exe.
I want to share a red letter day in my birding journey; today was the day when I heard Turnstone turning stones. Not only did I see it, I could hear it. Little clicks of delight 😂. Also a Common Scoter on the river too.

I tend to take a camera with me on a walk around the local riverside.
Khurram Wadee ✅This is the spillway from the #RiverExe into the #channel. The #engineers who designed and built it had foresight to see the future effects of #GlobalWarming, #Urbanization, changes in #CatchmentAreas and so on. It is by no means an easy task but I hazard a guess that they may have to revisit this and other flood-relief measures along the #River.

Lastly, this is the #bridge over the #RiverExe, which is a sign that my home is a mere 5 km away. A sight that is always welcome. The bridge is old but it a #cyclepath was constructed as an extension to it on the far side, which blends in very nicely with the existing #masonry.
