I painted plein air again today at a nearby park. I used a different paper, made from pulp, instead of cotton like I usually use. It slowed the drying time, so I was able to get some wet-on-wet effect.

Yesterday I tried something new, Khadi 100% handmade cotton paper 150g/m2.
I was able to draw with a fountain pen without any problems. The paper absorbed the watercolor very slowly. And dries even more slowly.
It was quite interessting to use this kind of paper.
I'm going to make myself a simple sketchbook with this paper now and maybe use it as a travel journal.

The original topic "Flora & Fauna" was changed to "People". Just as everyone was groaning, we were urged to step out of our comfort zone. And drawing people from behind wasn't cheating, was it?
While I was drawing, I chatted with Ella from time to time. She wandered among the urban sketchers and looked at our drawings.

A quick addendum to our urban sketching session in #Winnenden last week.
The friend needed a little more time to finish his drawing. So I went shopping and did a little #sketch and just left the ink sketch as it was. I probably could have livend up the sketch a bit more with some hatching. But I find that really hard.
