We are no writing test to see green passes text in the console when we run them, or to make a pipeline in #github to allow us to merge a pull request.

The test are for understand the behavior or the logic of elements in your codebase. Unit tests or tests in general are the true docs.

It's a tool to understand the problem and the solution.

There's already this feeling out there that #AI "will somehow solve it".

Even #engineers who should know better think like this. "Just put it into the AI".

LLMs are really good at absorbing, reorganizing and spitting training data back out. But they *do* have to have that training data.

Anything an LLM-based AI can help you with is something humans have solved already. In fact, they've solved it many times--enough to make a training dataset.
