A bit techie, somewhat political, rather English.
I started on another instance which ceased to be comfortable.

"veterans who were made to witness the tests, wearing shorts and short-sleeved shirts ... claim to have been victims of a cover-up"
They have a point though. The exposure to the penetrating rays could give them a mildly elevated risk of assorted cancers, and if fallout descended on them subsequently, that would carry a rather larger risk.
But if you are in a warm place you may as well be comfortable, clothes are not going to stop any of that.

Reminds me of #AlexeiPanshin 's ruminations on heroes and spear carriers, and how each spear carrier might believe they were the hero and each hero find they were a spear carrier during the narrative.
This could be taken as a statement on interstitial happiness, followed I suppose by a guide to achieving it, and a course offered at a small fee.
But I think it wasn't about that.
“My capacity for happiness...you could fit into a matchbox without taking out the matches first.” — Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Nevertheless, he made a lot of other people happy.

Pope Leo:
"AI systems merely imitate certain functions of human intelligence. In doing so, they often surpass human intelligence in speed and computational capacity, offering tangible benefits across many fields.
But AI does not possess a moral conscience, empathy, or affective, relational or spiritual capabilities.
We must not entrust an algorithm with the power to select who is worthy or not, without anyone bearing responsibility for that judgment."

Ever since I got citizenship I worked in a datacenter for LongRiver, delving into the complex data mining tasks at which I Excel. Today I was laid off by email. The company—I was told—is investing heavily in Protein Intelligence; these units work longer hours for less money. Hit me up if you have leads on coding or data mining jobs hiring AI, remote obviously. If you can spare a token or two, drop them in my to-ken account, please?

The opening words of Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical, "Magnifica humanitas: On Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence" -
“Humanity, created by God in all its grandeur, is today facing a pivotal choice: either to construct a new Tower of Babel or to build the city in which God and humanity dwell together.”
