I've finally rid of #meta apps from my #android phone. Now to sort out #google apps & find an alternative #Foss #os for my phone. Unfortunately these phone OS's are either too expensive to buy & use or unavailable for majority of phones out there. I'm already using #Foss app's to replace some of the Google app's.
I'm using @pixelfed instead of #instagram and obviously @Mastodon instead of #facebook. For emails, I've #thunderbird and for #maps I've #osmandapp. I use #fdroid instead of #playstore

@muri Das ist leider nicht möglich bzw. (noch?) nicht implementiert. Live Verkehrsdaten gibt es nicht, aber öffentliche Sperrungen sollten eigentlich technisch einzubauen sein. Bei uns im Dorf ist aktuell die durchgehende Bundesstraße voll gesperrt, OsmAnd weiß davon aber nichts. Vielleicht kann hier jemand aus der Community mit Ideen weiterhelfen, ggf gibt es ein Plugin?

Ich habe einen #OpenTracks -#Track und #Osmand installiert. Aber #OpenTracksApp kann mir das nicht als #Karte ausgeben, weil angeblich keine App installiert sei, die die API unterstützt? 🤷 Was kann ich tun?
Ich will den Track in #OsmandApp haben...

It's like #wikipedia just for maps. It provides a free and open-source alternative to Google Maps. I use it with #osmandapp for car navigation.

The easiest way to participate is probably with https://streetcomplete.app
No prior knowledge necessary.
The app guides you to complete missing map data by little quests. Careful though: it's very addictive.

Habe mir gerade erstmals die #osmandapp heruntergeladen, weil ich eine gute LKW-Navigation haben will. Mal schauen, wie sich die App so im Alltag anstellt. Der erste Eindruck ist schon mal vielversprechend.

Summer 24 somewhere in Sweden.
After a delicious dinner, we went for a digestive walk with the midnightsun and making some survey. Of course I used the Osmand app with Quick Action function, Streetcomplete and took pictures with Mapcomplete.

#TIL that #OsmAnd has a setting to colour tracks according to the speed you used when walking them, or the altitude of each part (among other things):

(So I don't need a fancy smart watch, like my colleague, to get that 🙂 [it's enough with a fancy smart phone…])

@osmandapp doesn't display online photos any longer, where the #Wikimedia category is mapped. 🧐 And yes, I should take this issue to GitHub. #osmandapp
