Gibt es eigentlich eine brauchbare Alternative zu Google Maps zur Navigation auf OSM-Basis für Android? Also mit Echtzeit Verkehrsdaten.

#OsmAnd+ ist eigentlich gut, aber bei Strassensperrungen und Stau halt nicht mehr.

Ich will zur Navigation keinen Einkaufsführer, sondern eine Landkarte.

Habe es noch nciht ganz zuende gehört, aber hier schon mal ein kleiner 🧵

Ich war selber auf dem Randonneur noch leidenschaftlicher Papierkarten-Fahrer. Doch mit dem #Velomobil ist das einfach nicht mehr praktikabel. dauerndes Umblättern, fehlende Detailausschnitte usw. machen das Langstreckenfahren ineffektiv. Daher ist #osmand und #bikerouter seit ein paar Jahren meine Baseline.

Why is OSMand+ so confusing? I want to use it more regularly, but the whole interface is so non-intuitive.

Posledních cca 14 dní jsem odložil mapy.com a naviguji se pomocí #OsmAnd, je znát trochu jiný algoritmus, ale funguje to dobře. Jediné co chybí je online doprava, ale to je mimo bigtech asi spíše neřešitelný problém 😒

All the more reason to use products and services from entities that don't look at you as a mere line item in a spreadsheet and extract maximum value.

Trying to use #osmand but the navigation is totally opaque (no progress indicator? lots of ui struggle), then for bike directions it wants to send me across Ross Island bridge (4x 45mph car lanes, f'n ODOT) when tilikum is right there, but later 9th over a hill and through the park instead of Williams or 7th 😕

Kārtējo reizi pamanu, ka CoMaps neatrod meklētājā kādu vietu. Tas pats labi atrodas OSMAnd, nerunājot par google maps.

Grūti uzticēties tam CoMaps tagad.

Mit #Roadstr können Autofahrer Vorfälle im Straßenverkehr (Polizeieinsätze, Unfälle, Baustellen, Gefahren) mithilfe des #Nostr Protokolls melden und einsehen. Die Meldungen sind kryptografisch signiert, überprüfbar und werden über ein dezentrales Netzwerk von Relais weitergegeben. Keine zentrale Instanz, keine Nachverfolgung, kein Datensammeln.
