42 bags of produce delivered today to local families dealing with food insecurity.
We try to do this every week- we let people sign up and get on a list that lets us know what kinds of fruit and veggies they and their families will eat. Today Michael and Anni did the deiveries- my MDF Dystrophy is flaring, so going out into any sunlight is not a thing I can deal with right now.

This week we had baby red and white potatoes, green and/or wax beans, salad greens, collard greens, celery, green peppers, hot peppers, plum tomatoes, and lots of strawberries.

These are things we grow year-round in the 2 big greenhouses we brought with us from the old family farm and set up on our property at the new-ish place in the exurbs. Winter is always tough- we can only grow in the greenhouses, but in summer a good bit of our property behind the house is used for #microfarming. We also have native wild blueberries, blackberries and raspberries that grow here- we leave some for the wildlife and harvest some for people.

I create- not digital content, but physical things that are pretty and practical. If it can be reused or recycled- I will find a way to do that and turn it into something new.
Also a semi-retired #OrganicFarm #Farmer- currently #MicroFarming in the #Exurbs, and teaching others to #UrbanFarm #SuburbanFarm and grow produce on their balconies and porches.
