CF Premiere: Omicron – Memory Hole
From Perth, Australia, we introduce Omicron, who returns with a new single titled Memory Hole, a release that stands out both for its sonic proposal and for its highly suggestive visual artwork, filled with trippy and introspective elements. The project inhabits a space where memory, perception, and time intersect, with its imagery already hinting at an emotional and mental exploration that directly dialogues with the track itself.

Sonically, this piece stands as one of our favorites within the Electro spectrum. Power, electricity, and attitude are combined with remarkable precision, embedding halos of nostalgia that do not remain trapped in the past, but instead unfold into temporal projections toward possible futures, built upon previously lived pessimisms. The track develops with clear talent, featuring layered sound design executed with great skill, resulting in a perfectly assembled structure from start to finish.
All of this leads to a sonic synthesis that seamlessly blends every element into a cohesive whole, allowing the track to settle and expand across space and time. Memory Hole is not merely heard—it inhabits the environment, seeps into the atmosphere, and lingers, like a persistent echo that refuses to fade, becoming eternal both in sound and in the sensory experience it creates.

Windows' already shaky reputation has taken a beating over the last year as it seems that every monthly rollup #patch, and many out-of-band #patches, introduce new problems at the same rate as they fix previous ones.
Is this giving you deja vu? It should. Remember a couple or three years ago, when the same guy announced that Microsoft was going to focus on security? They were in the middle of a long spell of brutal security holes found in all their products. Remember how they told their #engineers "If you have to choose between doing a feature and doing security, choose security"?
Remember how you never heard about that initiative again?
It's the same thing here. #PR garbage in service of a narrative that no, Windows' horrible security, usability, and #stability aren't actually that bad, so that MS can focus on their core competencies of buzzword promotion, stock market analyst manipulation, and monopoly abuse.
Perhaps someone in Microsoft management actually believes these refocusing efforts are genuine - but if you don't change the incentives, they won't actually take hold.

White House Refuses to Rule Out Summary Executions of People on Its Secret #DomesticTerrorist List
The Trump administration ignored questions about whether it would order the killings of those on its #NSPM7 list — even while answering our other queries.

"Rebecca Ingber, a former State Department lawyer, notes that while the designated terrorist organization label as a targeting authority is 'entirely manufactured,' the administration is relying on it to summarily execute people in the boat strikes, making their application of the terrorist label on the domestic front especially concerning. 'Many of us have warned that there seems to be no legal limiting principle to the Administration’s claims of authority to use force and to kill people,' Ingber, now a law professor at Cardozo Law School in New York, told The Intercept. 'This is one of the many reasons it is so important that Congress push back on the President’s claim that he can simply label transporting drugs an armed attack on the United States and then claim the authority to summarily execute people on that basis.' SOMETHING ELSE TO BOOKMARK to keep from falling down the #MemoryHole before the 2026 election:
Yes, #BobTheDestroyer demolished the East Wing w/o authorization, and you may remember he paved over the iconic #RoseGarden to look like a patio cafe at #MagaLoco.
But he ALSO destroyed "The Jackie Kennedy Garden"… which was designed by the step-mother of the guy who just (illegally) gave #PizzaTheHut $150M to pay Service Members a whopping $100 each for just one month. 🤬

Rachel Maddow shares reporting from the New York Times that billionaire Timothy Mellon, a top donor to Donald Trump's reelection efforts, gave the U.S. government $130 million to pay military salaries while Trump's Republicans in Congress keep the federal government shut down. At the same time, Donald Trump's mission of destroying the White House and remaking it in his vulgar image includes paving over gardens designed by Mellon's stepmother, Bunny Mellon, in order to turn it into a patio reminiscent of outdoor dining at a California Pizza Kitchen.
#DOJ Deletes Study Showing #DomesticTerrorists Are Most Often #RightWing
Following Charlie Kirk’s assassination and the Trump administration’s promise to go after the “radical left” a study showing most domestic terrorism is far-right was disappeared.

"The Department of Justice has removed a study showing that white supremacist and far-right violence “continues to outpace all other types of terrorism and domestic violent extremism” in the United States.
The study, which was conducted by the National Institute of Justice and hosted on a DOJ website was available there at least until September 12, 2025, according to an archive of the page saved by the Wayback Machine. Jason Paladino first reported that the study was removed. 404 Media noticed the removal after it was flagged by Daniel Malmer, a PhD student studying online extremism at UNC-Chapel Hill.
" 'The Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs is currently reviewing its websites and materials in accordance with recent Executive Orders and related guidance,' reads a message on the page where the study was formerly hosted. 'During this review, some pages and publications will be unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.' "

> Fascists erase violent history for one main reason—to repeat that history
This is why the 'right to archive' trumps both copyright and the 'right to be forgotten'. If it doesn't, we're enabling fascists to use copyright and right to be forgotten trolling to push inconvenient truths down the Memory Hole.
